Payne Hicks Beach’s Ane Vernon recognised in ‘Education Law’ Award
Leading Central London law firm Payne Hicks Beach is pleased to announce that Ane Vernon, Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department, has received the accolade of ‘Education Lawyer of the Year’ at the 2016 Finance Monthly Global Awards.
The Awards are in their eighth year and aim to recognise excellence across the financial and legal sectors. They recognise firms and individuals who have demonstrated their expertise and undertaken exceptional work within the last twelve months in comparison to industry peers. This year, a record number of Finance Monthly’s subscribers cast their vote to choose the shortlist of nominees.
The award showcases Ane’s notable work in the Education sector, including her advice to the London Oratory School in R (on the application of the Governing Body of the Oratory School) v The Schools Adjudicator, The British Humanist Association & Secretary of State for Education. The School's claim was successful and the case attracted widespread debate about admission arrangements of faith schools in the UK. Ane's client base includes a wide range of institutions and individuals whom she advises in matters of education law and issues in the education sector.
Alastair Murdie, Senior Partner at Payne Hicks Beach, comments:
“I would like to congratulate Ane on her ‘Education Lawyer of the Year’ Award. This recognition is wholly deserved and affirms the excellent work in this field that Ane has been doing over the past twelve months.”
