Leading Central London law firm Payne Hicks Beach is pleased to announce that Ane Vernon, Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department, has been named a winner in the ‘Education Firm of the Year’ category at the Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2016.
The annual Awards recognise the achievements and successes of individuals and firms within the legal sector over the past twelve months. They acknowledge individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to their practice and clients, undertaking leading work and with a proven track record of delivering results. The Lawyer Monthly Editors judged the Awards, taking into consideration a range of factors, including the nominee’s involvement in significant cases and innovation in client care.
Ane received the accolade for her impressive work within the education sector over the past year and her longstanding commitment to her clients. In particular, Ane was acknowledged for her advice to the London Oratory in the prominent case of R (on the application of the Governing Body of the Oratory School) v The Schools Adjudicator, The British Humanist Association & Secretary of State for Education. The High Court ruled in favour of the London Oratory School and raised key issues about the admission arrangements of faith schools in the UK.
