Orla has experience in advising both employees and employers on a broad range of employment issues, including employment disputes relating to redundancy, unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, restrictive covenants and pay. She also provides advice and assistance in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
She also has experience in advising employers on day to day 'HR' issues such as sickness management, holidays, maternity/paternity rights, flexible working and disciplinary and grievance procedures . She reviews and prepares employment documentation such as Contracts of Employment, Consultancy Agreements, Staff Handbooks and other work place policies.
Orla also regularly advises employees as to the terms and effects of Settlement Agreements, and can assist with negotiating termination packages.
Orla is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Orla qualified in 2012 and joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2015.
