Our Fees

We offer a particularly bespoke, client-focussed service and are careful at all times to provide the best possible information about our professional charges and any other expenses.

Whenever we are able to do so, we give a written estimate of fees at the outset of a matter. We are transparent about fees and never apply any hidden charges.

If our fees are likely to exceed an estimate (for example, due to unforeseen complexity or instructions leading to additional work) we bring this to the attention of our clients at the earliest opportunity and provide revised costs information.

Where appropriate, we are happy to agree an upper limit in respect of our fees, which will not be exceeded without prior consent.

In common with many firms of solicitors, our fees are usually calculated by reference to a standard hourly rate for those who carry out the work. However, we are always willing to discuss our charges and the possibility of alternative fee arrangements.

Before accepting instructions on any matter, we consider whether the potential outcome is likely to justify the expense or risk involved.

No two clients or matters are the same and the fees payable for our services will always be determined by the particular circumstances. We do not offer “volume” services of any kind.

Typically, our clients are businesses, trusts, charities and wealthy individuals with complex needs and significant assets, who require in-depth, specialist assistance. As a result, our fees are often higher than those of a conventional high-street firm carrying out similar work.
